That’s exactly why we offer a next working day delivery service if you order before 12 noon and select Next Day Delivery. We’ll literally stop what we’re doing, handmake your card that very same day, and send it out via DPD couriers on their Next Day Delivery Service. We've found DPD to be more reliable than Royal Mail and have swapped our next day service over to them because of the better tracking they offer.
But here’s the truth that no one likes to say: things can go wrong.
And when they do—it hurts us just as much as it hurts you.
🌧️ When Things Go Wrong (And It’s Not Our Fault)
We lovingly print, duplex, scent, handmake, personalise, check, wrap, and dispatch every card with precision and care. Once it leaves our studio, it’s in the hands of DPD. And while they do a brilliant job most of the time, they’re still human. Or sometimes, machine. Or sometimes... a broken-down van.
Here are just a few things that have caused delivery delays in the past:

A Royal Mail van broke down on the way to the sorting depot.

Staff absences at the sorting office caused a backlog.

A sorting machine missed scanning a batch and delayed tracking updates.

A local depot had a temporary suspension due to severe weather.
We wish we could magic these problems away—but once your card has left us and is en route, it’s completely out of our hands. And this is why we've swapped out next day delivery to courier to give you up to the minute tracking info so you cans exactly what delivery stop number your parcel is on on the delivery day.
